Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach in formulating strategies using QSPM analy-
sis and using SEM-PLS to analyze the influence of endogenous and exogenous vari-
ables. The sample in this study was 97 education staff working at the Sumbawa Uni-
versity of Technology. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and
significant influence between competency and work motivation variables on educa-
tional performance variables at UTS. Then based on the results of the QSPM analy-
sis that has been carried out, the results obtained, the total value of IFAS is 3.383,
which means that the weight of the IFAS score is on a high scale. This internal condi-
tion illustrates the strength position of several indicators that have quite good poten-
tial in improving the performance of teaching staff, increasing competence and work
motivation at UTS. Based on the results of the previous analysis, the EFAS score
was 3,388, which means that external factors are on a high scale. This indicates that
UTS has a good opportunity to improve the performance of teaching staff through competency improvement and work motivation activities. Based on the results and
discussion previously described, it can be concluded that the strategy that needs to
be used by UTS is to create an inclusive and supportive organizational culture that re-
flects employee values and creates a healthy and productive work environment, in-
creases management support for developing human resources and employee motiva-
tion, and conducts job analysis on a regular basis
