Abstract

The learning outcomes of students are evaluated from the achievement of KKM (Minimum
Completeness Criteria) which is a benchmark in class learning that has not been fulfilled KKM is due
to the lack of completeness of learning facilities and infrastructure, qualifications of educators, delivery
of learning material, teaching strategies, learning models adapted to the talents and interests of
participants educated to minimize the value below the KKM. This study aims to implement and analyze
the effect of biofloc on learning outcomes and increase student competency in freshwater fishery
commodity enlargement techniques subjects at vocational Schools . Design, using this method
because the results of the treatment can be known more accurately and can be compared with the
conditions before being given treatment. The results showed that the implementation of biofloc as a
learning medium was initiated by compiling lesson plans, modules and teaching materials, based on
the results of the Pearson test correlation r count 0.539 > r table 0.514, it was stated that there was a
relationship or relation between the use of biofloc media on learning outcomes and increased student
competency with a significance of 0.038 (α = 0.05) means that there is a significant influence or
correlation between the use of the biofloc technique and learning outcomes, competent qualification
scores in semesters III, IV and V using the pond enlargement technique as much as 60% of students with competent qualifications, 26.7% of students with very competent qualifications and 13.3% of stu-
dents with special qualifications, while competent qualification scores in semester VI after the applica-
tion of biofloc media were 73.3% of students with very competent qualifications, 13.3% with competent
qualifications and 13.3% of students with special qualifications. The conclusion from this study is that
the implementation of biofloc media can increase students' enthusiasm for learning so that it influ-
ences learning outcomes and increases student competence in the subject of freshwater
fishery commodity enlargement techniques at vacation schools.
