Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Technology, Sumbawa in entrepreneurship. Some things that can be seen and affect students' interest in entrepreneurship are the peer environment, parental income, parental occupation and parental education. The research type is quantitative descriptive that population of 955 active students from the faculties of economics and business. Determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula and produced 100 students. The analysis technique used to carry out the tests in this study was regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 21 program and a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the peer environment did not have a significant effect on students' entrepreneurial interests, while parents' income, parents' work and parents' education had a significant effect on the entrepreneurial interests of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Sumbawa University of Technology. Simultaneously the peer environment, parental income, parental employment and parental education have a significant effect on students' entrepreneurial interests. The result of the coefficient of determination of 55.4% indicates that the ability to explain the variables of peer environment, parental income, parental employment and parental education is 55.4% and there are other factors of 44.6% that affect the interest of entrepreneurial students..
