Abstract

This research with quantitative methods, namely to determine the effect of interest and motivation in preserving old literature in Sumbawa Regency, because old is eroded by the modern era. in Sumbawa Regency. Testing the data using the SPSS application related to the distributed questionnaire. The results of the research in testing the research hypothesis that there is an influence of interest and motivation variables on the use of old literature on social activities in cultural preservation in Sumbawa Regency and support the theory of interest and theory of motivation. This is evidenced by the rejection of the hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the hypothesis (H1) which states that there is a relationship between interest and motivation for using old heritage in social activities in cultural preservation in Sumbawa Regency.
