THE EXISTENCE OF KA PENA TRADITIONAL RITUAL IN BOKASAPE VILLAGE, ENDE DISTRICT (NTT) 2017-2022
Abstract
Abstract This study aims to (1) Describe the journey of the Ka Pena customary ritual before covid and during covid and after covid (2) Factors that make indi genous peoples believe that ancestral spirits greatly influence their lives. (3) The research method used is the historical research method with a qualitative descriptive approach, the historical method is research that studies past events with data sources that can be obtained from various historical records. The results of the research found in the form of Ka Pena customary tradition activities. In fact, this tradition has long been carried out by their ancestors in the Bokasape village, Ende district, Eest Nusa Tenggara, and even today the Ka Pena tradition still exists. This tradition is a tradition of the agrarian community, where before the planting community will perform the Ka Pena customary ritual around the rice fields. The activity requested that their crops be kept away from pests and catastrophe. However, the unique Ka Pena tradition cannot be attended by women during the event because there are restrictions that must be avoided.Keywords: Existence, adat ka pena, Ende
