Abstract

The staff of the Sumbawa University of Technology has increased every year. The number of
employees in 2022 is 422 consisting of 241 lecturers and 181 educational staff. In monitoring and
evaluating the attendance of Sumbawa University of Technology employees using fingerprint
attendance, from the results of the recapitulation, the percentage of employee attendance in June was
only 21%, decreased in July 17%, and was stagnant in August. This is caused by several problems,
including employees who forget their attendance, attend on time but are not absent, some are absent
due to problematic fingerprints and the recapitulation process takes quite a long time. This study aims
to analyze the level of employee satisfaction with the current (existing) Staffing Attendance System at
the Sumbawa University of Technology and design a Staffing Attendance System expected by
employees. The initial stage is to analyze the level of employee discipline using ongoing staffing
absences using quantitative research methods with Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistics
analysis methods and using the 10 Service Dimensions analysis parameters including Reliability,
Responsiveness, Competence, Access, Courtesy, Communication, Credibility, Security,
Understanding Knowing the Customer and Tangible. The results of the analysis found that the level of
employee satisfaction with the current (existing) Personnel Attendance System at the Sumbawa
University of Technology is at a fairly satisfactory level, based on the results of descriptive statistics

the average questionnaire that has been filled in by 81 respondents shows the number 47.48.
Meanwhile, for the descriptive statistical results of the design of the staffing attendance system, the
average value is 81.58, which means that employees want a new staffing attendance system. From
this research, researchers made a Civil Service System Design (design) at the University of
Technology, Sumbawa. The design of this staffing attendance system is made based on android to
become input for the Sumbawa University of Technology so that it can be built and implemented so
that it becomes one of the efforts to improve employee discipline.
