Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) aims to produce skilled workers and or open new businesses
and job opportunities. The absorption of SMK alumni in Industry and the World of Work
(IDUKA) is very low, this is due to the small opportunities that exist in the industry. To
overcome this, SMK alumni need to be encouraged to become entrepreneurs independently,
because the opportunity to open an independent business is very large. Vocational high school
alumni need to be instilled entrepreneurial values since they attend SMK so that by the time
they graduate, they are competent and ready to open new businesses. This study aims to: 1. to
explain the strategy for implementing the entrepreneurship-based Project Based Learning model
to increase student motivation at SMK Negeri 1 Taliwang, and 2. To analyze the effectiveness
of implementing the entrepreneurship-based Project Based Learning model to increase student
motivation at SMK Negeri 1 Taliwang. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection
is carried out through questionnaires and documentation. The results show that the application
of the Entrepreneurial-Based Project Based Learning model can increase the learning
motivation and competence of Class XI TBSM students. Thus, Project Based Learning-based
learning research is effective in increasing student motivation in entrepreneurship.
