Abstract

This study was conducted to determine village authority in socio-cultural empowerment of
the younger generation in Jotang Beru Village, Empang District. How is the village authority in
overcoming problems that arise related to the handling of socio-cultural empowerment in the
younger generation (a case study in Jotang Beru, Kekematan Empang), this study uses a
qualitative descriptive research method, the results of the study find that with the village authority
in carrying out socio-cultural empowerment in the younger generation in the village of Jotang
Beru, sub-district of Empang. the conclusion of this study is that the socio-cultural youth in the
village of jotang beru has been carried out through socio-cultural institutions, both in the fields of
plantations, agriculture and animal husbandry. The supporting and inhibiting factors for village
authority in the socio-cultural empowerment of youth are the supporting factors supported by the
fairly strategic geographical location of Jotang Beru village which is supported by youth and
women's organizations at all levels, both from the hamlet level and the RT level. While the
inhibiting factor is that village authority has not been implemented in PPJMdes and RKPdes, so
that funding for community empowerment and development in Jotang Beru village has not been
able to run optimally.
