STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PAUD BERBASIS MUATAN LOKAL DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA BARAT

This study aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors for the development of the PAUD
curriculum and to analyze the strategy for developing the PAUD curriculum based on local content in
West Sumbawa Regency. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative and field
research. The results of the SWOT analysis of the supporting factors; 1) Budget support for curriculum
development activities, 2) Curriculum Development Team (TPK) was formed in each educational unit,
3) Curriculum drafts have begun to be developed, 4) There are efforts to preserve regional potential
through student learning materials, 5) There are efforts to improve the competence of the Curriculum
Development Team (TPK), 6) There are efforts to improve the academic and non-academic
qualifications of educators and education personnel by local governments. Obstacle factors; 1) There
are no special regulations for the development of the PAUD curriculum, 2) There is no optimal
mentoring and monitoring and evaluation by the Curriculum Development Team, 3) There is no
optimal partnership with academics, education boards, and traditional and community institutions, 4)
Limited educators with local content education qualifications or cultural arts, 5) Local content learning
tools have not been developed optimally, 6) Educators' competence is still low on the development of
technology and digital information, and 7) TPK competence is still low in developing learning tools.
The grand development strategies carried out include; 1) Acceleration of regulations related to the
development of local content curriculum, especially PAUD level, 2) Institutional and HR strengthening
of the Curriculum Development Team, 3) Acceleration of development of local content learning
modules, 4) Strengthening of institutional empowerment with public or private parties, 5) Analysis of
the Urgency of Movement Programs Artists Enter School (GSMS) as an alternative effort to fulfill
educators with linearity in arts and culture or local content, and 6) Improve school innovation programs
to support local cultural literacy
