Abstract

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has created a threat of a food crisis. Ministry of Agriculture,
encouraging efforts to meet household food and nutrition needs through optimizing utilization
yard land. The Minister of Agriculture said that his party would provide assistance in the form of facilities
agricultural production which is expected to be able to encourage farmers, especially the Women Farmer Group
(KWT) to produce. Various concepts and approaches to women's roles in programs
development was introduced and tried to be applied in women's development projects in
third world. The role of women in the agricultural sector is very important, especially their contribution in
increase income and reduce the number of non-productive workers. On the other hand, women
expected to maintain food security. In this study examines how the role
farmer women's group in the success of the Sustainable Food Yard innovation program (P2L) in
Farmer Women's Group (KWT) Bukit Lestari Seketeng Village, Sumbawa District, Regency
Sumbawa. To explore all the problems that exist, this study uses an approach
phenomenology, the phenomenological view seeks to understand the meaning of events and their connections
against ordinary people in certain situations. The result of this research is to know the effect
women's innovation in maintaining household food security during the Covid-19 pandemic
implementing the P2L program in Sumbawa Regency, was considered successful.
