STRATEGI KOLABORASI PENGEMBANGAN DESTINASI PULAU SENJANGAN SEBAGAI TUJUAN WISATA ALTERNATIF DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA

Senjangan Island is one of a group of small islands in Sumbawa Regency that has natural beauty such as white sandy beaches and clear waters. Despite its great potential, Senjangan Island is still not fully utilized as an attractive tourist destination. Therefore, this study aims to explore the factors that determine collaboration and formulate collaborative strategies that can be used to develop this island as a destination tourism that is attractive to local and foreign tourists. This research employs descriptive research with a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation with key informants such as: tourism object managers, governmental institutions, local communities, and tourists. This study formulated the following results: 1) Internal factors that greatly determine collaboration with the existence of very interesting natural potential, while external factors with the activities of pokdarwis and pokmaswas. 2) The factors that inhibit the occurrence of collaboration are the lack of coordination with related parties, the activity program that has not been well organized and the limited budget lacks facilities and access to tourist sites while the driving factor is the collaboration of the sub-district government, the village governments, tourism managers and tourists. 3) The collaborative strategy for tourism development on Senjangan Island is to build effective communication and coordination, develop planned and integrated programs and activities, build capacity and empower local communities, the government, the business world and business managers. From this discussion, we can draw the conclusion that in the development and promotion of tourist destinations, namely how the Collaboration Strategy between the Government, the Business World and the Community in the development of the Senjangan Island Destination as an alternative tourist destination in Sumbawa Regency so that it can be known and visited by the wider community, both local and foreign tourists.
