Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to find out how the migration process and the existence of the Bima tribe in Golo Sepang Village, Boleng District, West Manggarai Regency. The research method used is historical research method using a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The data sources for this research are traditional leaders, government leaders, educators, community leaders, youth and other communities. While secondary data obtained from books, journals, and archives. The results of this study relate to the arrival of the Bima tribe in Golo Sepang Village, Boleng District, West Manggarai Regency by sea from the Reok area, which postscript is the area formed by the Bima kingdom. Migration occurred because there were several factors including political and economic factors, thus making immigrant tribes settle in Golo Sepang Village to this day. In addition, the existence of the Bima tribe does not cause things that conflict with the local tribe, in fact their presence can be accepted and considered as a sister by the indigenous Manggarai tribe.
