NUJA' RAME AS AN INSPIRATION FOR CREATING TU NUJA' DANCE WORKS IN SUMBAWA DISTRICT

Tu Nuja' is a dance work inspired by the traditions of the Sumbawa people, namely Nuja'. This tradition is usually known by the public as Nuja' Rame. This tradition has existed since the time of the Sumbawa sultanate, which is still victorious and is still being carried out today. Nuja' Rame is a part of the Sumbawa people's wedding tradition which is held before the wedding. Tu Nuja' is a group choreography inspired by the Nuja' Rame tradition and is danced by four female dancers. The method used in the creation of this dance work is the research method and the creation method. Observation and interviews as work processes in the early stages of finding ideas for work and are classified into research methods. The studio work process, the exploration process, namely the assessment of Nuja' movements, the improvisation process, namely the search for movements that match Nuja's strokes, the compositional process of combining the movements into a complete dance, and the evaluation process to find out the extent of deficiencies in the dance work. Tu Nuja' is divided into four parts, namely the introduction which tells about the preparations before Nuja'. Then part 1 is describing the process of inviting Nuja'. The third is part 2 which describes the antat panulung process and the last climax is the Nuja' process which ends with a pose. The costumes used are brick brown (tops) and songket (bottoms). The music used in Tu Nuja's work uses computer music with a Sumbawa feel.
