Abstract

Research to follow up on the fact that students at SMKN 1 Seteluk have not
been able to read the al-Qur’an according to the meaning of letters and the science of
tajwid. Because of that the researcher diverted the learning activities that were
originally in the classroom to the prayer room. The purpose of this research is to find
out how the construction model of learning to read the Al-Qur’an is based on a prayer
room and secondly how to implement learning to read the Al-Qur’an based on a
prayer room. This type of research uses qualitative research with a case study
approach. Source of data in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data
collection techniques through observation interviews and documentation. Data validity
was carried out by extending participation, observation persistence, reference
coverage and triangulation. Data analysis techniques included data collection, data
reduction, data presentation and providing verification.
The results of the study show that the prayer-based learning construction
model for reading the Al-Qur’an uses modules compiled by the researchers
themselves. While the implementation of learning to read the Al-Qur’an based on
prayer rooms is carried out using two kinds of general or traditional learning models
and innovative learning models. The general or traditional learning model is intended
to provide students with Islamic Religious Education materials such as the
monotheism creed and the history of Islamic culture. While the innovative learning
model is intended to provide provisions for special students to improve their ability to
read the Al-Qur'an properly and correctly. In this study, the habit of purifying and
performing three kinds of sunnah prayers was carried out before learning began.
The conclusion from this study is that the construction model of learning to read
the Al-Quran by providing modules and its implementation based on a prayer room
with two learning approaches can improve reading comprehension of the Al-Quran, in
addition to having a positive impact on psychomotor development.
