The existing social forestry scheme in the East Rinjani region of NTB province is still
under the Partnership and Community Forestry scheme which has been running for a
long time but has not been able to improve the welfare of the people living around the
forest area. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it is known that the
social forestry scheme that is appropriate for the RTK 11 area in order to improve the
welfare of the community around the forest area is the Village Forest scheme. The
purpose of this research is to observe the determinants that have caused the village forest program to not be implemented in the East Rinjani region. As well as to formulate
strategic steps that can be taken by the government/stakeholders in realizing the
implementation of village forests in the East Rinjani region. The research design that
will be used in this study is to use a descriptive qualitative interpretive research model.
The resulting data will be processed using data analysis techniques using the SWOT
analysis model. Based on the results of observations and analysis related to findings in
the field, it is known that several obstacles have become the determining factor for the
village forest program not being realized in the East Rinajni region, namely: The lack of
socialization processes and the misperception of the community paradigm about the
meaning of village forest is the strongest reason making it difficult to implement the
program. HD in the NTB region. The lack of massive outreach from DLHK has led to
misunderstandings about the village forest scheme among communities living around
forest areas in NTB. Concerns were also raised about the potential for those concerned
with local power to use the village forest project as a political pledge or instrument,
undermining the system's positive effect on village people's lives.
