Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the application of Android-based GPS "Gero Online" in controlling cattle on semi-extensive community cattle farms in Kakiang Village, Moyo Hilir District, Sumbawa Regency. This research uses a combination research type (mix method), namely qualitative and quantitative research, while the combined research type used is a Sequential Exploratory Design, namely in the early stages of research using qualitative methods and the next stage using quantitative methods. Quantitative method will be carried out with an average score. Quantitative data was obtained from questionnaires distributed to livestock farmers and then the results were processed using SPSS.

The results of the research on the application of the Android-based livestock control application "Gero Online" to semi-extensive community cattle farms in Kakiang village, Moyo Hilir sub-district, Sumbawa district based on data processing expertise with SPSS showed very effective results, making it easier for livestock farmers to control the whereabouts of their livestock. Based on the results of measuring the level of effectiveness in terms of security (safety) and data analysis shows the results are quite effective.
