EVALUASI EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM IMTAQ TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA

Abstract

This research is motivated by the declining character of students, especially their religious
character in participating in religious activities at SMK Negeri 1 Taliwang, especially following
the IMTAQ program, while most of the class XI and XII students at SMK Negeri 1 Taliwang have
implemented the IMTAQ program well. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the
IMTAQ program in order to improve the religious character of the students of the State
Vocational High School 1 Taliwang. Class X students are the subjects of this study who follow
the IMTAQ program, while the object of this research is the IMTAQ program and the religious
character of students. The population in this study were all students of class X at SMK Negeri 1
Taliwang totaling 261 students. In this study, the authors took a sample of 30% with a sample of
79 students using the Simple Random Sampling technique. In data collection, the methods
used are questionnaire, documentation and interview methods. After the data is collected then it
is analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation technique. Based on the results of the
analysis, it was found that there were effective results from the IMTAQ program on increasing
the religious character of students at SMK Negeri 1 Taliwang. These results prove that r
arithmetic is greater than r table (0.227 < 0.679 > 0.296). The relationship between the IMTAQ
program and the religious character of students is in the strong category, because the value of
the correlation coefficient between the IMTAQ program and the religious character of students is
0.679, which is in the interval 0.60 – 0.799.
