ANALISIS STRATEGI BAWASLU DALAM MENGEFEKTIFKAN PENGAWASAN TAHAPAN PEMILIHAN BUPATI DAN WAKIL BUPATI SUMBAWA BARAT DI MASA PANDEMI TAHUN 2020

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the strategy used by the Election
Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in Streamlining the Supervision of the Stages of the
Election of the Regent and Deputy Regent of West Sumbawa during the 2020
Pandemic. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with analytical techniques
using SWOT Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats). The results of the
analysis show that the prevention strategy through and outreach to the community as
well as the appeals given are also able to reduce the potential for violations both from
the organizers side as well as from the candidate pair and the candidate pair's
campaign team. Meanwhile, the strategy for enforcing the presence of elements of
the police and the prosecutor's office is very helpful for Bawaslu in dealing with
alleged violations. The results of the study resulted in an innovative Bawaslu Strategy
proposal that could be carried out to streamline the supervision of the next election
stage, namely by improving the quality of prevention and violations and developing
the capacity of the Bawaslu apparatus in facing the next election.
