REVITALISASI POSYANDU SEBAGAI GERAKAN GOTONG ROYONG DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA BARAT

Abstract

Revitalization of Posyandu is an effort to improve the function and performance of
Posyandu, in its implementation it is still limited to health services, even though the initial
spirit of the formation of Posyandu is a center for integrated community services, not only
services in the health sector but services in other fields. This study aims to determine the
form of the implementation of Posyandu revitalization in West Sumbawa Regency. This
research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observations,
interviews, and documentation in the form of regulations and policies of the West
Sumbawa Regency Government related to the revitalization of Posyandu. Informants are
selected with purposive sampling. The selected informants numbered 10 (ten) people
from regional leadership elements, regional apparatus organizations, village
governments, mutual cooperation agents, health cadres, and the community. The data
obtained were analyzed using three paths namely reduction, data presentation, and
drawing conclusions carried out when data collection took place. The results showed that
the form of the implementation of Posyandu revitalization in West Sumbawa, among
others; 1) The existence of the expansion of the scope of the Posyandu service 2) The
existence of the expansion of human resources/ implementers in Posyandu 3) The
existence of efforts to meet the needs of posyandu facilities and infrastructure. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of Posyandu
revitalization in West Sumbawa Regency was carried out with the expansion of the
service sector, the expansion of human resources and joint efforts in meeting the needs
of facilities and infrastructure in the posyandu. The suggestions that can be conveyed,
namely the revitalization of Posyandu in West Sumbawa Regency, can be used as a
learner for other regions to be applied and a mass movement from all parties is working
together to carry out the revitalization of Posyandu in West Sumbawa Regency
