MANAJEMEN RANTAI PASOK MADU DI UD. MAS

Abstract

Honey is a non-timber forest product (HHBK) product which is a commodity
priority of the Ministry of Forestry. Indonesia's honey production, which is generally in the form of forest honey, is 75
percent while 25 percent comes from cultivated honey. One of the companies that played a role
in the development of forest honey is UD Madu Asli Sumbawa (MAS). UD MAS has a network
throughout Indonesia as a reseller. Destruction of forests as a result of illegal logging by
irresponsible parties, resulting in damage to the honey bee habitat ecosystem
for nesting which ultimately led to a lack of quantity of UD MAS honey production.
The problems indicate that there is still a need to strengthen the internal supply chain management system
marketing UD MAS products. The implementation of UD MAS supply chain management is also not yet running
well. One of them is illustrated in the contractual agreement between UD MAS members without
using a written agreement. Unwritten agreements create difficulties in distribution
and control of honey which will trigger cheating while supplying honey. Support
government which only focuses on assistance in procuring equipment and cooperating in training activities
good honey hunt. As a result, there is no supervision of the forest as a honey-producing place
much attention. Descriptions related to physical resources, labor and capital, do not become
big obstacle while partnering with UD MAS. Likewise with the business processes that occur inside
UD MAS has been running well.
