PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMATIKA DAN KOMUNIKASI DALAM PENGELOLAAN OBAT DAN BAHAN MEDIS HABIS PAKAI DI RSUD ASY-SYIFA’ SUMBAWA BARAT

Abstract

Management of Medicines and Consumable Medical Materials is very important in a hospital, where good governance in the management of Medicines and Consumable Medical Materials will have a huge influence on ensuring the quality of service, which involves various aspects of service, especially medical services. This research aims to describe the management of drugs and consumable medical materials at the Asy-Syifa' Hospital, West Sumbawa and the application of the use of information and communication technology in the management of drugs and consumable medical materials at the Asy-Syifa' Hospital, West Sumbawa. This research uses a qualitative design, supported by primary data obtained through in-depth interviews and secondary data through documents. The research data was processed and analyzed using a content approach. The research results show that the management of drugs and BMHP at Asy-Syifa' Hospital
West Sumbawa currently finds it difficult to carry out monitoring quickly and precisely, thus hampering the planning of drugs and consumable medical materials and the effectiveness and efficiency of the budget. The application of information technology and informatics is still not optimal because there are several obstacles, in the form of human resources not understanding the use of applications, the facilities and infrastructure supporting application operations are inadequate, the internet network supporting applications often has problems. Implementation activities for managing drugs and consumable medical materials still need to be maximized so that there are no shortages or shortages of drugs, which is the main problem in services that affects the planning and procurement of drugs and consumable medical materials. Implementing good management of drugs and consumable medical materials will produce quality service and maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of drugs at Asy-Syifa' West Sumbawa Regional Hospital.
