Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of awareness about the character of elementary school students, which can be seen from various students' behavior during learning, including some students who are dishonest, irresponsible, have less than commendable behavior by saying harsh words that go viral on social media, there are some students who behave impolitely. and low student discipline and bullying. This needs to be followed up by providing understanding to students, especially in the subject of Pancasila education, especially at SDN Olat Rarang by practicing it in the school and community environment. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the steps and effects of using digital media as a character learning innovation in Pancasila education subjects for elementary school students using a research method with a one group pretest-posttest design pattern. The research instruments used were interviews and student character learning questionnaires which had been tested for validity and reliability to obtain valid and reliable measuring instruments. To analyze the effect of using digital media in improving student character learning using paired sample t test analysis via the SPSS 22 application with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.016 which is smaller than the table significance (0.05) so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, there is a difference in the average pretest and posttest scores regarding elementary school students' character learning through the use of digital media. The conclusion of this research is that teachers have utilized digital technology media in learning Pancasia education for elementary school students with character values ​​developed including independence and hard work, honesty, politeness when responding to teacher greetings, creative values ​​when students are able to present the results of their assignments, and the value of responsibility. when students are able to submit assignments on time and there is an influence of the use of digital media in improving character learning in elementary school students' Pancasila education subjects.
