Abstract

Advances in information technology have significantly changed the development of libraries, especially in the field of law libraries. This encourages the Legal Documentation and Information Network for the Legal Section of the Regional Secretariat of Sumbawa Regency to continue to provide the latest legal information and documentation, ensuring optimal service for legal information seekers. The aim of this research is to find out what the role of the Legal Documentation and Information Network is in the Dissemination of Legal Information within the Regional Secretariat of Sumbawa Regency, and to find out what the strengths and weaknesses are of the Documentation and Legal Information Network in the Dissemination of Legal Information within the Regional Secretariat of Sumbawa Regency. The research method chosen was a mixed methods research approach using Explanatory Sequential Design (ESD). This research involved 50 employees from the Sumbawa Regency Regional Secretariat Office as the population. A sample of 33 employees was taken using the Slovin formula from a population of 50 employees at the Sumbawa Regency Regional Secretariat Office. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data was then analyzed using Product Moment Correlation, linear regression and Mean techniques. The results of research on both validity testing and reliability testing show that all variables are good in the categories of the Role of Documentation and Legal Information Networks and the Dissemination of Legal Information. The function of JDIH is very instrumental and has a positive influence when compared to the Dissemination of Legal Information, where Ha is accepted. This shows that the role of the Legal Documentation and Information Network in the Dissemination of Legal Information within the Regional Secretariat of Sumbawa Regency is very important, while Ho was rejected because there was no influence from the Legal Documentation and Information Network.
