Abstract

Gallon water is a form of bottled drinking water which is usually sold in large plastic gallons. One of the companies engaged in the refill drinking water depot (DAMIU) which has been established for a long time in Sumbawa is UD. Astro, with the large number of requests for refill drinking water, has increased the activity of transferring gallons of water to pick-up trucks. Transferring gallons of water to pick-up trucks still uses human power which can result in the risk of work-related illness. This study was conducted using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method to evaluate the risk of injury and fatigue involving risky postures, the Nordic Body Map (NBM) which is used to identify complaints of pain in the workers' bodies, Cardiovascular Load (%CVL) which is used to measure and analyze workloads, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) which is used to analyze and understand the causes of failures in the system. Based on the results at the REBA analysis stage, there were 3 gallon water removal workers at UD. Astro obtained the highest REBA final scores of 10, 9 and 8 which are in the high category so that immediate investigation and improvement is needed. In distributing the NBM questionnaire, it is known that worker 1 has a total value of 3, which is a high risk level, meaning that immediate action is needed. Meanwhile, workers 2 and 3 have a value of 2, with a moderate risk level, which means that the risk experienced may require corrective action in the future. In the workload analysis of the three workers, most of the %CVL values were above 30%, which means that improvements and FTA are needed to identify risks that play a direct role in the failure.
