Abstract

This research aims to analyze the profit sharing system for fishermen and bagang owners inLabuhan Ijuk Village from the perspective of mudharabah contracts. The method used in this researchisaqualitativemethodwithacasestudyapproach.Datawascollectedthroughinterviewsandin-depthobservations withfishermenandbagangownersaswellasanalysis ofrelateddocuments.Theresearchresults show that the profit sharing system implemented in Labuhan Ijuk village still faces severalchallenges. First, there is ignorance about the principles of mudharabah contracts and how they areapplied in managing fishermen's catches. Second, there is limited understanding of the separationbetween operational funds and profit sharing, so that there is often misuse of funds in the distributionof profit sharing. To overcome this challenge, this research recommends several steps, first, educationandresearchisneededforfishermenandbagangownersregardingshariacontractaccountingprinciples.mudharabahandanappropriateprofitsharingsystem.Second,itisnecessarytoestablishanindependentsupervisorybodytoensuretransparencyandaccountabilityinthemanagementoffishermen's catch funds. Third, it is important to build collective awareness in the application of shariaaccountingprinciplesformudharabahcontractsandinthedistributionofprofitsharing.Byimplementing a profit sharing system that is in accordance with the principles of the mudharabahagreement, it is hoped that it can improve the welfare of fishermen and bagang owners and strengthentheeconomyintheLabuhanIjukvillagecommunity.
