This research was conducted due to an increase in the interaction of Generation Z in Serading Village through social media. The purpose of this study is to understand how Generation Z interacts ethically in the use of social media in Serading Village, and to identify their differences between public and private spaces in the context of social media. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction and categorization, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that generation Z has an understanding and applies ethics in interacting in social media public spaces. They realize that social media is a public space that connects people from various countries and understands the boundaries of interacting on social media, both in public and private spaces. They avoid using harsh words and keep their emotions from hurting other people's feelings or harming those who read their posts.
