STRATEGI HUMAS KEPOLISIAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA RESORT SUMBAWA DALAM MEMBANGUN DAN MENJAGA CITRA KEPOLISIAN
Abstract
This research analyzes the strategies and roles of the Public Relations Section in building and maintaining the image of the Police in Sumbawa Police Resort through a qualitative approach with data collection techniques via interviews and observations. The research findings indicate that the Public Relations Section of Sumbawa Police Resort employs operational strategies, persuasive and educational approaches, and social responsibility to build and uphold a positive image. The roles of the Public Relations Section as an expert advisor in communication and information, a facilitator of communication with the public, and a manager of media and information are acknowledged. However, collaboration with community organizations and student associations is still limited to working with the mass media. The research results provide input and recommendations to Sumbawa Police Resort to enhance the role of the Public Relations Section in building good relationships with the community, improving effective communication, and better managing information. The objective of this study is to provide an overview of the Public Relations strategies of Sumbawa Police Resort in building and maintaining their image.
