Abstract

ABSTRAK 

Toxic masculinity is a certain masculinity that is usually shown by boys who want to adapt themselves to the concept of masculinity which is formed from rigid social norms governing men as individuals who must show strength, authority, abstain from expressing their emotions. Harmful to those around them exhibited such as violence, domination, emotional disability, sexual entitlement, and hostility to femininity. form sexist and patriarchal behavior, including harsh treatment or violence against women. Toxic masculinity has a bad impact on adult men and the boys themselves. Narrow stereotype norms limit the physical and emotional health of men and their relationships with women, other men, and children. Researchers use descriptive qualitative research methods based on observation and analysis to gain an in-depth understanding of toxic masculinity behavior. Researchers want to examine how toxic masculinity behaves in peers and this study aims to show that toxic masculinity cannot be justified in relationships with society or peers.
