Abstract

The anime movie Koe No Katachi is one of the anime that tells a friendship story about a boy named Shoyo Ishida, who is a naughty boy. And there is a transfer student to her school named Shouko Nishimiya, where she is a deaf and blind child. Of course, his move to the elementary school actually made him the subject of bullying by his friends. The researcher chose this anime as the object of research because he was attracted to a deaf and blind child in greeting or aisatsu which is often a habit for Japanese society. So that in the end raised the title of representation of Japanese culture aisatsu in the anime Koe No Katachi. This study was analyzed using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics which focuses on knowing what scenes represent Japanese aisatsu culture in the anime film Koe No Katachi. The method used to research the anime film Koe No Katachi is descriptive qualitative; As for the data collected in the form of words and pictures, not in the form of numbers. As for the depiction of Japanese aisatsu culture contained in the anime film Koe No Katachi, which includes Aisatsu Introductions When You First Meet, Aisatsu Saying Thank You, Aisatsu Based on Time, Aisatsu To People Who Will Go, Aisatsu When Getting Food, Aisatsu When Going To Leave and Aisatsu Apologies, some of these scenes describe Japanese culture aisatsu.
