This research aims to provide more in-depth information about the role and forms of participation of survey institutions, particularly My Institute, in shaping the political preferences of the community in Sumbawa District during the 2018-2023 period, as well as insights into local political dynamics, the factors influencing political preferences, and the formation of public perceptions and political choices. This study employs a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research design. Systematic observation and interviews are used to collect in-depth and detailed data. Through systematic observation, the researcher observes and records the activities of the survey institution, including the survey methods used, data analysis processes, and information presentation. Systematic interviews are conducted to obtain informants' views, attitudes, and perceptions, such as representatives from My Institute and other stakeholders. The results of this study indicate that survey institutions, especially My Institute, play a role in shaping the political preferences of the community in Sumbawa District. Through survey activities, data analysis, and information presentation, these survey institutions contribute to shaping the community's perceptions, attitudes, and political choices. Local political, social, and economic factors also influence the political preferences of the community. Theoretically, this research enriches our understanding of the role of survey institutions in the political process and decision-making used by stakeholders such as political parties, candidates, and governments in formulating more effective political strategies based on a better understanding of the political preferences of the community.
