Abstract

Law number 6 of 2014 concerning villages is that villages have origin rights and traditional rights in regulating and managing the interests of the local community and play a role in realizing the ideals of independence based on the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia that in the course of the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Speaking of villages, the strategic role of villages currently contributes greatly to national development. Apart from supplying food and labor needs, villages also contribute to the development of national tourism. The trend of tourist villages has become increasingly popular after the COVID-19 pandemic, where tourism trends tend to personalize, customize, localize, and smaller in size. This condition makes the number of tourist villages continue to grow every year. Currently there are 3613 tourist villages spread across all provinces in Indonesia with various classifications ranging from pilot tourism villages to independent tourism villages. This study aims to find out what innovations were carried out by the Karang Dima village government for the development of a tourist village and what factors hindered the development of these innovations. This study uses qualitative techniques, qualitative research methods are used so that researchers can describe or understand an event that occurred at the location studied. Qualitative data is information expressed in the form of words, phrases, diagrams or pictures. The results of this study Based on the results of interviews that have been conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the village government of Karang Dima Kec. Lab. Badas has made various efforts to develop the existing tourism potential in Karang Dima Village, even though there are many factors that hinder it, the Karang Dima Village government always tries even to the provincial level.
