Abstract

ABSTRACT

The One Village Ten Engineers program is an initiative of the Sumbawa University of Technology which works directly with several villages in Sumbawa Regency with the aim of producing at least one of the best graduates in engineering and science who are able to compete with graduates from other tertiary institutions. The purpose of this research is to find out the diffusion of innovation from the Sumbawa University of Technology in building OVTE scholarship partnerships. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method by describing the data into in-depth and structured writing. Based on the results of the analysis described by the researchers in the previous chapter, it can be interpreted that the innovation of the OVTE (One Village Ten Engineering) or One Village Ten Engineers scholarship program was not simply adopted by villages in Sumbawa Regency. This is evidenced in the complexity stage. According to Rogers' element of innovation, among the four elements of innovation diffusion, a complicated indicator carried out by the Sumbawa University of Technology's OVTE scholarship program team provides more detailed information about the OVTE scholarship program and the funding for each village is different. This made the village less enthusiastic about receiving the OVTE scholarship program. Research shows that the OVTE scholarship program is successful in the diffusion of innovations. Information about the OVTE scholarship program was successfully disseminated and well received by the village community. Researchers also influence the influence of social factors on the diffusion of innovation in the OVTE scholarship program. Based on these findings, research shows that the Sumbawa University of Technology's OVTE scholarship program has succeeded in spreading innovation to elements of the social system. This program has had a positive impact on the village community, involving collaboration between universities and the local government, and has been successful in raising community awareness and acceptance through an effective dissemination process.
